Healing & New Journey

Fri Apr 3, 2009, 8:48 PM
We moved - again. Big surprise! But, this time, WE OWN IT. Yeah, I know, it's a fictional designation of property lines, but it does mean we can do whatever, and at our own risk or profit! Woot!
I have seed in flats in the basement (getting lugged out and in, out and in, no lights or greenhouse yet), garden beds in the making (hello shovel!), old wallpaper stripped and almost ready for repainting, muddy floors - in other words a ginormous mess inside and out. Love it! And very busy. I intend to start and update a house/garden blog sometime soon.
I hope you have all been well...

I have missed you all,

Ellie

Happy Birthday / New Year!

Thu Jan 10, 2008, 11:25 AM
My son Sagan Randall was born at 9:30am on January 1st at home into a pool of warm water and Nate's waiting hands after a fast and furious 3 hours of labor. He promptly peed on his curious big sister as he was lifted out of the water. 11 pounds, 20" long (short & fat!).
Sagan in honor of Carl Sagan, for inspiring awe at the beauty and wonder we see in the universe. Randall in honor of The Amazing Randi (Randall Zwinge), for science, reason & intellectual honesty. And Nate's dad, Randy.

My mom just calls him Filbert (my last name means "nut" in German).

Sagan

Welcome, Sagan!
